Easter morning is coming right up!  This year, move beyond the standard candy and plastic eggs, and make your Easter baskets unforgettable. Whether they're for little kids, teens, or even an adult, we've got seven clever ideas to upgrade your baskets, making them more thoughtful, cozy, and memorable.

Multicolored headphones, plaid pajamas, and bunny slippers

1. Add a “Main Gift” Instead of Just Fillers

Traditional baskets are mostly small treats, but this year, consider including one standout item that lasts longer than candy.  How about some cozy pajamas, a tech accessory, or some slippers?  Nestle in some smaller treats around the main gift to fill out the basket.

Cow slippers, cow figurine, animal stickers; candle, face mask, bath bombs; sand toys, swim trunks, swimming goggles

2. Create a Theme

If your kid or adult recipient has a particular interest, make them feel extra special by curating the basket around that theme!

A few examples:

Storytime Basket: A selection of books they'll enjoy, a book light, bookmark, and a snuggly throw blanket

Spring Self-Care Basket: Slippers, bath bomb, face mask, candle (great for teens and adults!)

Beach Basket: A new swim suit, goggles, sand toys, and flip flops.

Outdoor Fun Basket: Sidewalk chalk, bubble wand, jump rope, sunglasses, frisbee

Animal Adventure Basket: Animal slippers, stuffie or figurines, animal sticker book,  animal-shaped snacks (perfect if they have a favorite animal!)

Canvas tote bag, wicker picnic basket, plastic bucket

3. Upgrade the Basket Itself

Another upgrade is replacing the typical plastic basket with something reusable that will come in handy, turning the basket into something people will keep using long after Easter is over.

Ideas:  Sturdy canvas tote bag, stylish storage bin, picnic basket, big plastic bucket (that you can take to the beach!)

Dark green fleece blanket, yellow and white striped beach towel, green linen towel

4. Choose a Reusable Alternative Instead of Plastic Grass

Plastic or paper Easter grass is fun and festive, but disposable.  Consider something a little more premium to nestle those gifts into, that becomes another gift!

Upgraded alternatives: a throw blanket, a scarf, a new beach towel, or a new kitchen towel for an adult!

Gardening tools with green handles, a puzzle featuring picture of flower, heart cookie cutters

5. Add Something Interactive

Include something interactive that gives the gift of a new experience!  For example, a puzzle or brain teaser, a gardening starter kit, or a cookie decorating kit.

A sketch book, a set of embroidery threads, a set of watercolor paints with a brush

6. Inspire Creativity with Art Supplies

For a creative type, nothing's better than a fresh set of supplies!  Ideas include watercolor paints and paper, new markers, a coloring book (for kids or adults), colored pencils, modeling clay, or embroidery supplies.

Photo props on sticks including funny glasses, a plate with a bunny-shaped pancake, a set of bunny ears on a headband

7. Make It “Easter Morning Ready”

Whether you already have some Easter morning traditions, or are inspired to create a new one, you can include items that make Easter morning extra memorable!  For example, comfy new matching pajamas, silly props for family photos, or pancake mix, syrup, and preserves for a delicious brunch (bunny shaped pancakes, anyone?)
