Turning Red (2022)
Have you spotted the bunny slippers in the Disney/Pixar film Turning Red? When spunky 13-year-old Mei gets too excited, she “poofs” into a giant red panda! In a brief moment of the film, we see Mei’s red panda foot step on this adorable pair of bunny slippers and squish them. (Come to think of it, these slippers actually look quite a bit like our Classic Bunny Slippers!)
Robin Hood: Men in Tights (1993)
Tights aren’t the only fashion statement in this early 90s comedy! The starring footwear, of course, are the famous Reebok Pumps worn by Ahchoo (Dave Chappelle), who takes a break from hand-to-hand combat to pump up his kicks. But we would be remiss if we didn’t mention evil Prince John’s (Richard Lewis) pink bunny slippers, which appear in the background of his royal highness’ bath!
The Loud House Movie (2021)
Based on the animated Nickelodeon series, The Loud House Movie follows the Loud family as they travel to Scotland and discover their long lost (royal) heritage. Lincoln Loud embraces his new role as Duke of Loch Loud, which finally helps him stand out as the middle child of ten sisters. The new title comes with some luxuries… crown and bunny slippers included!
Real Genius (1985)
In this sci-fi comedy, we meet eccentric and laid-back genius Chris Knight (Val Kilmer), a student at the prestigious Pacific Tech University, whose sartorial choices are quirky, to say the least. Knight wears bunny slippers (and crow slippers, and mouse slippers) throughout the film, and in one memorable meeting, he and Dr. Meredith (Severn Darden) show up wearing matching bunnies. We’re pretty sure we didn’t learn anything about science from Real Genius, but we did learn that bunny slippers are the perfect thing to wear during final exams, or while sabotaging evil space lasers!
Postman Pat Season 4, Episode 7: Postman Pat and the Pink Slippers (2006)
This adorable British television series, created with stop motion animation, follows the adventures of Postman Pat Clifton, who works for the Royal Mail Postal Service. In this episode, Pat’s shoes and socks get wet when he steps in a puddle… so he has to wear a pair of borrowed pink fluffy rabbit slippers for the rest of the day! We’d love to see these adorable teeny tiny bunny slippers in real life… they definitely win our award for best stop motion slippers.
A Christmas Story (1983)
No list of Bunny Slippers on film would be complete without the most embarrassing of them all! In this classic Christmas movie, Ralphie wants the Red Ryder Carbine Action 200-shot Range Model air rifle for Christmas… but instead, his mother gives him this pink bunny suit… complete with matching slippers, much to his dismay!
The Garfield Show Season 2 Episode 3: Night of the Bunny Slippers (2011)
In a cross between Garfield, Gremlins, and Godzilla… this episode of The Garfield Show features a pair of cute li’l bunny slippers that transform into giant, evil Bunny Slippers on the night of the blue moon! They terrorize the town like a pair of big fluffy Godzillas… until Garfield is able to lure them into the light of a tanning bed (artificial sunlight). As the bait he uses a pair of… wait for it… carrot slippers!
Hot Shots! (1991)
A spoof of popular action films, (particularly Top Gun), this comedy follows the reckless but talented pilot Topper Harley (Charlie Sheen) as he returns to the Navy to participate in a dangerous mission. Topper has left society to live in a rustic encampment, and has changed his name to “Tuka Chinchilla,” which means “Fluffy Bunny Feet.” He emerges, wearing rugged clothing, and these pink fuzzy bunny slippers.
The Simpsons Season 13, Episode 13: The Old Man and the Key (2002)
In this episode, Grampa Simpson regains his driver’s license to impress a new lady at the retirement home, but his reckless driving leads to a series of misadventures. We spot Marge wearing some Bunny Slippers, Homer wearing some bear paw slippers (that look a lot like these!), and Grampa wearing some plain old slide-on slippers (boring!)
Side note: Marge’s slippers look just like the rabbits from Matt Groening’s comic strip Life in Hell!
The Whole Ten Yards (2009)
Bruce Willis plays Jimmy “The Tulip” Tudeski, a retired hitman… who now spends his days quietly cleaning, cooking, and hanging out with his wife Jill (a retired assassin played by Amanda Peet). When their friend Oz’s (Matthew Perry) wife is kidnapped by a Hungarian mobster seeking revenge, Jimmy, Jill and Oz must team up to rescue her… although Jimmy would prefer to stay home with his beloved chickens and his bunny slippers!
Over the Hedge (2006)
This animated comedy from DreamWorks features a group of woodland animals, who wake up from hibernation to find their forest has been encroached upon by suburban development, leaving them with little food. Led by the scheming raccoon RJ (voiced by none other than Bruce Willis…making his second appearance on this list!), they venture into the new human territory to steal some snacks. There they meet their arch-enemy Gladys, who rules the HOA with an iron fist and plots to keep the animals out. Despite her hatred of woodland critters, Gladys wears bunny slippers throughout the film!
12 Monkeys (1995)
Bruce Willis makes yet another bunny-slippers related appearance in the sci-fi thriller 12 Monkeys! Convict James Cole (Willis) is sent back in time from a dystopian future to the 1990s to gather information about a deadly virus that has wiped out most of humanity. As he uncovers a complex conspiracy involving a group called the Army of the Twelve Monkeys, he struggles with his own sanity and the possibility of altering the course of history. He briefly meets a man named LJ Washington (played by Frederick Strother), who pairs a tuxedo with bunny slippers, in a scene more eerie than cute. Willis, meanwhile, wears jelly sandals!
Futurama Season 7 Episode 5: The Duh-Vinci Code (1999)
In this episode, Fry and Professor Farnsworth uncover a hidden message in Leonardo da Vinci’s works, leading them on a quest to discover Da Vinci’s greatest secret. Their adventure takes them to the distant planet of Vinci, where they unravel the mysteries of Da Vinci’s genius and encounter a surprising revelation about his true origins. We briefly spot Leela wearing some bunny slippers that are very similar to Marge’s (and the rabbits from Life is Hell)!
Blue’s Clues Season 3, Episode 6: Blue’s Big Pajama Party (1999)
In a very slipper-centric episode of Blue’s Clues, Julia Louis-Dreyfus (yes, THAT Julia Louis-Dreyfus) plays a slipper repair woman (Is that a real job?!!!), who repairs Steve’s bunny slippers so that he can host a pajama party. She also comes the the party later, wearing yellow duck slippers, and reads a book called Where Do Slippers Sleep? You know, we’ve always wondered about that… where can we get our hands on a copy?
The Walking Dead Season 1, Episode 1: Days Gone Bye (2010)
The very first zombie to appear in the very first episode of The Walking Dead, is this little girl (Addy Miller) wearing some filthy, zombie-fied bunny slippers! She meets Sheriff Rick Grimes after he wakes up from a coma, and he realizes that the world overrun by zombies. These might be the scariest bunny slippers we’ve seen!

Maggie and the Ferocious Beast Season 3 Episode 13: The Bunny Slippers (2016)
In this animated children’s show, about a girl named Maggie and her friends the gentle Ferocious Beast and the practical Hamilton Hocks, we discovered an adorable episode starring some very special bunny slippers! On a camping trip, the Beast wants a pair of bunny slippers big enough to fit his giant feet, since all his friends have a pair. Beast finds that his bunny slippers have some special and magical powers.
Don’t Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood (1996)
In this satirical comedy, we follow the misadventures of Ashtray (Shawn Wayans) and his cousin Loc Dog (Marlon Wayans) in South Central Los Angeles. The movie blends over-the-top humor with social satire… and we see Loc Dog wearing some overstuffed, bright pink bunny slippers in all kinds of settings, including the liquor store!
The Golden Girls (1985 – 1991)
Who else but Rose Nyland (Betty White) would love a pair of bunny slippers? In this blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment, an eagle eyed viewer can spot Rose Nyland (Betty White) wearing fluffy pink bunnies during the credits. It looks like Dorothy could use a pair to cheer her up!

In this tv series, we see the early life of Clark Kent, Lois Lane, and friends.
