Bunnyslippers.com recently discovered ‘Simon’s Cat‘, and quickly developed a fondness for it. And how couldn’t you? The series – created and voiced (including every meow and hiss) by British animator Simon Tofield – details the antics of an eternally famished little feline in the never ending quest for more Meow Mix. The series has been big in the UK since 2008, due to the sidesplittingly accurate depiction of cat/owner relations. For those of you who haven’t seen the series, here’s a quick primer via the artist himself.
As the series grew from one video into an extensive video series with 1 million plus hits and two popular picture books, the world of Simon’s Cat expanded, letting other furry and feathered friends in to play including Bunnyslippers.com’s own raison d’ĂȘtre:
The ‘sketchy’ drawing style, as Tofield describes it, brings the playful, erratic movements of hare and feline to life. In this video, he shows viewers how they create their own piece of hop art.
So what are you waiting for? Get your paws on a pen, pencil, marker, crayon and draw your own bunny! Feeling bold? Post your sketch in the comments or on our Bunnyslippers.com Facebook page.
