It’s Halloween, and rather than dress up to go take candy from strangers, we’re staying in to watch some of our favorite films. Here are five movies with hare-raising rabbits for you to watch this all hallows eve.
Let’s start out on a light note, shall we? More silly than it is scary, Night of the Lepus proves just how difficult it is to make bunny rabbits terrifying.
If you’re looking for something a little more frightening, The Twilight Zone: The Movie may be more your speed.
Critics can’t seem to agree whether Donnie Darko is a horror movie, angsty coming-of-age film or sci-fi classic. However, most agree that wise-cracking Frank the rabbit is rather terrifying. Just look at those teeth!
I’m not sure what my parents were thinking when they let me watch Watership Down as a small child. It’s a film that lives up to its tagline, “Take a glimpse into another world, and you’ll never look into a meadow again without remembering… Watership Down!”
And, finally, this list would not be complete without a mention of Monty Python’s Killer Rabbit! While Monty Python and the Holy Grail will leave you laughing rather than cowering in fear, this “foul tempered rodent” is so funny its scary.
